Vivotek FD7131 Overview
The FD7131 fixed dome network camera is a professional-grade surveillance camera designed for indoor applications. It features a 3-axis mounting system that allows attachment to ceilings and walls. The camera also features advanced technology that improves security and reduces false alarms. The FD7131 fixed dome network camera is also capable of networking with mobile devices via the 3GPP mobile surveillance technology included on the device.
The FD7131 fixed dome network camera has a passive infrared sensor that allows for excellent motion detection capabilities. By sensing variations in temperature, it is very sensitive to movement in the area of coverage. If motion detected but the scene is too dark, the camera will automatically douse the scene in light from its own onboard visible light illuminators. All of the action is captured at 30 frames per second. Two separate streams can be transmitted at the same time. MPEG-4 and MJPEG compression in real time ensure that network bandwidth usage is kept to a workable level while preserving image quality.
The FD7131 fixed dome network camera also includes PoE—Power over Ethernet—technology that makes installation a much easier affair. The wide-angle lens ensures that you don’t miss any of the activity in the surveillance area.
