AXIS Q8108-R Overview

The AXIS Q8108-R is a network video recorder (NVR) device that has been specifically designed for mobile surveillance applications including public and commercial transportation applications. The AXIS Q8108-R comes enclosed in a robust aluminum encasing which will provide protection to the internal electrical components and also includes protection against voltage spikes that may occur in the vehicle’s power system.

The AXIS Q8108-R will provide uninterrupted in-vehicle recording for up to 8 connected cameras and includes an 8 channel version of the AXIS Camera Station video management software. The AXIS Q8108-R is capable of recording in full frame rates and in HDTV video resolution. Additional features of the AXIS Q8108-R include an integrated PoE switch making camera installation easier, support for battery backup, support for removable hard disks, as well as support for additional communication options such as WLAN/GSM/UMTS/HSDPA, GPS and accelerometer which are open for integration with third party software applications designed specifically to achieve wireless transfer of video recordings, real time monitoring and vehicle management.
