Y-cam Black Shell Overview

The Y-cam Shell Black (YCEX01) is designed to work with all current versions of the Y-Cam wireless indoor cameras. It provides a weatherproof housing suitable for use in very tough conditions. The Y-cam Shell Black is made of a durable ABS plastic that is resistant to damage from UV radiation. The camera is also able to keep its full strength wireless connection to the network while in the case. This means that the camera can be stationed as far out as your wireless network will allow with no transmission degradation from the camera itself.

The Y-cam Shell Black makes use of a universal mounting bracket that makes installation very easy. The installation hardware also allows the Y-cam Shell Black to be positioned in any direction. This makes it ideal for any outdoor application where the weather needs to be kept at bay but where the maximum possible flexibility is required where the surveillance area is concerned. The Y-cam Shell Black is weatherproofed at the equivalent of an IP66 rating. Not only does the Y-cam Shell Black work with wireless connections, it can accommodate wires, as well.

The Y-cam Shell Black is semi-cable managed. Power cables and, if needed, a hard wired Ethernet connection can be routed through the case to the camera. This allows your network to be configured however you like. Whether you prefer the tremendous flexibility of wireless LAN connections or a traditional hard-wired Ethernet network, this case is compatible.
