Vivotek VAST Overview

Vast Central Management Software is designed to provide a hierarchal management system for all VOTEK cameras and equipment. The software allows for remote management, tight security and is powerful enough to handle the largest of installations. There are no limits on the amount of cameras that may be added to the security structure. Vast Central Management Software can display 16 channels of playback simultaneously, allowing for very large-scale monitoring.

Vast Central Management Software can provide a full 64 separate channels of live viewing. It can control all of the cameras that make up the system via PTZ technology, allowing zooming, tilting and panning on any of the cameras that support the protocol. Vast Central Management Software is also capable of managing bandwidth, reducing the amount of traffic on the network and allocating it to specific devices. There are several different options for recording. The device can begin recording based on an alarm or another event or it can be started manually. Vast Central Management Software also has support for tamper detection, allowing instant notification if someone attempts to defocus, change the view field or cover the lens of a camera in the security system. Vast Central Management Software supports all different types of backup processes, manual or backups that are scheduled automatically. Vast Central Management Software has flexible user security, with password protected accounts and different levels of access. Video can be enhanced after recording to compensate for adverse conditions, such as rainy scenes, snow, fog or other limited visibility situations that compromise video quality.
