The IP8162 fixed network camera provides excellent security and records in full HD format, allowing for wide-area monitoring from one camera. Utilizing technology such as HTTPS and 802.1x forms of authentication, it is suitable for applications where the most effective security measures are called for. The IP8162 Fixed Network Camera is capable of managing bandwidth via thumbnail options that allow only a portion of the scene to be transmitted over the network at any given time. The camera also allows for the use of several different types of video compression, including MPEG-4, MJPEG and H.264.

The IP8162 fixed network camera can record day or night. The device is provided with an IR-cut filter, which can be removed, if desired. It also has ePTZ technology built in.
