Toshiba IK-WR12A Overview
The Toshiba IK-WR12A Dome IP camera is a great solution for outdoor surveillance. It is able to withstand many different kinds of weather elements with its IP66 rated enclosure. This, combined with the built-in heater and blower, allows the IK-WR12A to withstand cold temperatures as low as -30 degrees C to as high as 50 degrees C. The housing also prevents dust and water from getting inside and hurting the camera.
The Toshiba IK-WR12A uses a 1/3.2 inch CMOS image sensor. It has a 2 megapixel resolution of 1600 x 1200. The scanning system is progressive, and it uses a vari-focal 3-9 millimeter lens. The viewing angle is 30 to 87 degrees horizontal and 22 to 64 degrees vertical.
The camera uses JPEG and MPEG-4 image compression simultaneously. It uses a progressive scanning system that eliminates the smearing that is often found on these systems, which further adds to the clarity.
The Toshiba IK-WR12A has 3x optical zoom, and 4x digital zoom. It comes with infrared lighting as well for nighttime filming.
