Network Video Decoder
Network Video Decoder Overview
A network video decoder, also referred to as a network video receiver, allows for an IP based video stream to be converted to an analog video stream. Network video decoders typically allow for connection to standard analog output devices such as televisions, analog monitors or other analog switching devices. Network video decoders are usually brand specific which require that the IP based video feed be that of an IP camera or video server (video encoder) within the same brand. A video decoder works by connecting to a local network via Ethernet connection and will allow for an IP based video signal to be received by configuring the IP address and login credentials for the IP camera or video server within the video decoder device. Video decoder devices are available in single or quad channel analog video output configurations.
