Fixed Network IP Camera Overview

A fixed IP network camera is a camera that remains in a fixed position after it has been installed. This may also include lens adjustment and focus. A fixed camera does not allow for Pan or Tilt control or movement other than at the actual camera itself. Changing a fixed camera’s position will require you to physically move the camera to its new position. IP fixed dome network cameras may also be found under this category. A fixed dome network camera is simply a fixed camera inside of a dome enclosure.

Most video surveillance applications use a combination of fixed cameras due to requirements including surveillance of fixed positions or objects. If your surveillance requirements include monitoring a fixed position or a fixed object then a fixed IP network camera may be all you require.
