This is a basic piece of software that is able to manage the cameras and the network video recorder for small to medium operations that are on a single server. The D-Link DCS-ProSight-25C is able to support up to 25 cameras with single compression formats: MJPEG, MPEG4, H.263, and Wavelet.

The software offers support for all of the analog cameras, IP VGA cameras, and video encoders from the top manufacturers and works with multiple video clients including NetGuard, NetGuard-EVS, and Ocular Client Lite. It is also able to offer simultaneous displays of all of the cameras in the system with NetGuard-EVS, and Ocular Client Lite.

Each camera is able to record up to 600,000 frames a day and each day the system undergoes scheduled archiving. The software allows for limitless configurations of camera groups, instant review during live monitoring, and pan, tilt, and zoom presets. Users who are looking at recorded footage will be able to pause and move backward and forward through the timeline.

The software also has a wide range of tools that can help with investigations. The Kinetic Motion Timeline, digital pan, zoom and tilt in live and recorded video, and instant access to alerts are all great investigative tools that will help to improve security.
