D-Link DCS-55 Overview
The DCS-55 network camera enclosure is able to protect enclosed IP cameras from dust and water. It is a simple and cost effective way to make sure that cameras are safe and secure from a variety of environmental hazards. The enclosure is IP66 certified, beige, and the housing is aluminum.
The enclosure also features built in Power over Ethernet, or PoE, 802.3af. The Power over Ethernet allows users to install the cameras outdoors in areas that are not close to a power outlet. The cameras are also very easy to install in the housing so the system can be up and running quickly.
The angle-adjustable brackets are heavy duty and they will allow the user to secure the camera either horizontally or vertically, providing more placement options in a variety of different areas.
The model has a heater as well as a blower so it is capable of keeping cameras at the right temperature. The operation temperature for the enclosure is -22 degrees F to 140 degrees F. The enclosure is able to work with the DCS-3420, DCS-3410, and the DCS-3110 cameras.
Making sure that the cameras are secure from environmental conditions including dust and rain is very important. The DCS-55 is a great way to protect the cameras from outdoor elements.
