D-Link DCS-5300 Overview

The D-Link DCS-5300 Securicam Network Internet Camera is a surveillance solution that lets you take control of your surveillance needs. From its straight forward web interface, to its included remote control, the DCS-5300 provides intuitive access to its many features. The DCS-5300 is a surveillance solution that will suit the security needs of the most demanding home and small office users.

A high quality CCD image sensor provides sharp, clear images in vivid color, allowing you a true to life view of your installation area. The DCS-5300 has a 270 degree Pan angle and a 90 degree Tilt angle, providing you with wide coverage area, reducing the need to purchase multiple cameras. You can even set the camera to cycle through a "Patrol Mode" that automatically moves the camera to point to a maximum of 20 preset views that you choose.

Adding to the DCS-5300's video capability, a built in microphone and port for an external microphone, adds audio surveillance to your monitoring capabilities. Other ports include: Video out, for viewing of your camera on a television, Audio out, to hook up external speakers, Digital I/O, that lets you connect to external sensors and devices, and the 10/100 Ethernet port to connect to your network.

The D-Link DCS-5300 comes bundled with D-Link's surveillance software. It further enhances the capabilities of this camera and allows you greater management control. The software allows you to record streaming audio and video directly to your computer hard drive and play it back at any time. You can set it to record at preset times and intervals, or set it to record only when it detects motion. You can even have an email sent to you when it senses that something is happening. If you decide to expand your installation, the software allows you to view, control, and manage up to 16 cameras.
