The AXIS P8221 (0321-004) network I/O audio module provides 8 inputs and outputs that can be used to enhance existing IP security systems. The I/O ports can be used to control a host of devices that can be triggered by alarm events. The AXIS P8221 network I/O audio module is compatible with AXIS network systems and the VAPIX system. The device also provides advanced audio features that enhance the ability of the operator to converse with or give directions to people in the area being monitored. This device features very easy installation with advanced power options.
The AXIS P8221 network I/O audio module can be integrated with several different security sensors and devices. It can be connected to smoke detectors, glass break sensors or door switches. The AXIS P8221 network I/O audio module can also be set up to control devices, such as closing doors or triggering lights when an event causes an alarm. The AXIS P8221 network I/O audio module also provides support for legacy devices. It has further capabilities that expand the function of your security network.
The AXIS P8221 network I/O audio module supports two-way audio communication. The device can function in both half and full duplex modes. It is also provided with phantom power for a microphone. The device has its own low-power amplifier that makes an external preamplifier unnecessary. The device can be powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, simplifying installation.
