AXIS P7701 Overview
The AXIS P7701 (0319-004) video decoder is a flexible device that can enhance any security network. With the capability to decode analog or digital video and to display it on an analog or digital monitor, it frees up bandwidth and processing power from other devices. The AXIS P7701 video decoder is ideal for situations where video needs to be displayed but not recorded. It is suitable for use in the entryways of stores and other businesses and is much more cost-effective than using a computer for the same purpose. It can respond to event triggers and decode multiple stream types.
The AXIS P7701 video decoder can decode H.264 format video and display it at resolutions of 720x480 NTSC or 720x576 in PAL format. It displays Motion JPEG in 1280x720 format. The device can also decode monaural audio signals. The AXIS P7701 video decoder is compatible with AXIS cameras and video encoders. It can display the inputs from several different devices in sequence, allowing for a powerful monitoring solution. In the event of an alarm, the AXIS P7701 video decoder has even more features that make it a powerful, but cost-effective device.
In the event one of the devices attached to the AXIS P7701 video decoder triggers an alarm, the video decoder can automatically display the video from that device. It is flexible where mounting is concerned. The AXIS P7701 video decoder can receive its power through a standard external power supply or it can be powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology.
