AXIS P1346 Overview

The Axis P1346 (0328-001) is a top of the range network camera, offering fantastic image quality, advanced focus control and a myriad of useful features. The main feature of the camera is its ability to transport a 1080p 3 megapixel image, a quality so sharp it is rarely seen in the network camera industry.

Of course the streaming of a 1080p picture can be both bandwidth and storage intensive, so the camera also offers means to stream a separate lower quality image best used for remote storage.

The P1346 has P-Iris, a revolutionary imaging system that allows the clearest and crispest pictures from a network surveillance camera. The lens is so designed that the entire picture can appear to be in focus – for example if viewing a long corridor both the nearly objects will be clear, and the end of the corridor will also be in focus. The user can set up separate ‘cropped’ areas of the image, to be able to view different areas at the same time, in perfect focus.

The P1346 also have all of the other features Axis network cameras are renowned for – an easy installation procedure, comprehensive software and network management tools, and powerful security options that ensure that no-one can spy on the stream being sent across your network. It’s also an extremely robust shell, and is designed to be virtually vandal-proof. The software also detects when someone may be trying to compromise the camera, such as using spray paint or a cover.
