The AXIS 247S (0272-001) video server is an ideal solution for discreet monitoring. Easily mounted to a wall or ceiling, this small device can be stationed next to an analog camera, allowing the integration of analog devices into existing IP networks. It provides advanced digital functionality to the analog devices, increasing their capabilities and those of the network. This device is very small and is perfect for situations where monitoring needs to be unobtrusive. The AXIS 247S video server provides a professional solution for monitoring in retail stores, government buildings, restaurants or other areas where analog cameras and digital networks need to be merged.

The AXIS 247S video server provides simultaneous, separate streams of video in 704x576 resolutions. The server can provide video in both the MPEG-4 and Motion JPEG formats, allowing maximization of network bandwidth resources. The devices is also compatible with Quality of Service (QoS) managed networks, further increasing its capabilities where allocating network bandwidth is concerned. This device has other functions that make mounting and powering cameras a much easier proposition.

The AXIS 247S video server can mount to a ceiling and provide power to an analog camera. The power classification can be set to 2 or 3, allowing more control over the network and allowing it to power both miniature and standard analog cameras. The device supports advanced network security protocols, including HTTPs, multiple levels of user access and IP address filtering.
