AXIS 240Q Overview
The AXIS 240Q (0232-004) video server allows the integration of analog cameras into IP security networks. The device uses the Motion JPEG codec to transmit images, converting analog images to crystal-clear digital images. It is compatible with network security protocols and with the pan, tilt and zoom features on analog cameras. The device has a total of four channels, it can transmit from all of them simultaneously and allows four separate devices to be plugged into the server. The AXIS 240Q video server is a professional solution for any facility needing to integrate their digital network with existing analog capture devices.
The AXIS 240Q video server is compatible with 25 different analog cameras. Most of the major manufacturers are represented among them, including Sony, Philips, American Dynamics, Canon and Panasonic. The device also enables advanced features such as motion detection and alarm notification. The AXIS 240Q video server is also provided with I/O ports that allow the addition of external devices to the video server. Its advanced network protocols include bandwidth control and security.
The AXIS 240Q video server is compatible with Quality of Service (QoS), which allows the network to throttle bandwidth for unnecessary services. The server also offers HTTPs encryption, IEEE 802.1x authentication and IP address filtering. It supports PTZ and dome cameras and includes advanced event management features.
