AXIS 225FD Overview

Tamper proof and able to withstand tough weather conditions, the AXIS 225FD network camera can handle rugged monitoring environments. The camera can be equipped with two lens types. The standard lens provides a 36-75 degree viewing angle. For close-up work, the 22mm variant provides a 10-20 degree viewing angle. The 22mm variant is ideal for getting close-up views of objects and people. This camera is suitable for high-security monitoring, such as at railways, in schools and in large parking lots. The standard lens is excellent for wide areas.

This camera is equipped to deal with extreme temperatures. The AXIS 225FD network camera has a fan and a heater within its housing, allowing it to endure severe weather conditions. The housing is also very resistant to vandalism attempts. It can function in daylight or nighttime conditions, allowing it to provide a 24-hour solution for security monitoring. The camera’s CCD uses progressive scan technology, allowing it to provide excellent motion capture. Installation is also very convenient.

The housing in which the AXIS 225FD network camera is contained is discreet. The lens can be adjusted, including the pan, the tilt and the horizontal rotation, so that any needed camera angle can be accommodated. This camera can also be powered directly by the Ethernet connection via the included Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology. This camera records in VGA resolution at 30 frames per second.
