With its 2.0 Megapixel resolution, the AXIS 223M network camera is able to take video of a larger area with more detail. Surveillance area size can be up to 4 times the size of that capable with a traditional analog camera. Its progressive scan CCD image sensor also provides images of superior quality over traditional interlaced image sensors. Combine this with powerful real-time image processing and a varifocal lens and you can see why the AXIS 223M’s images are so crisp and clear.

For use in both day and night conditions, the AXIS 223M has an automatic removable infrared cut filter. This filter allows for high quality color video in both high and low light conditions down to 1.5 lux and black and white video in nighttime conditions down to 0.2 lux.

Two-Way Audio with Audio Detection Alarm

Not only does the AXIS 223M provide the best in video quality, it also provides two-way audio capability with audio detection alarm. You can both see and hear everything going on in the area under surveillance, as well as communicate with people on the ground even from a remote location. Audio detection alarm allows for alarm signals to be triggered upon the detection of suspicious audio signals.

In addition to audio detection, the AXIS 223M also includes video detection capabilities, allowing for advanced event management techniques based upon both audio and video cues.
