Vandal Resistant Mounting

A video surveillance network is only as secure as its camera. For use in high risk areas such as banks, prisons, schools, etc, the AXIS 216FD-V is specially designed to be resistant to vandalism. Its durable, transparent dome is secured from the inside by a rugged metal casing, making it exceptionally resistant to any vandalism attempts.

Professional Quality Domed Network Camera

The AXIS 216FD-V boasts a progressive scan CMOS image sensor and advanced real-time image processing providing the best in image quality. It can capture images even in low-light conditions down to 1 lux. It has a high frame rate of 30 fps in all VGA resolutions and simultaneous MPEG-4 and Motion JPEG video compression. Frame rate and resolution can be configured for both MPEG-4 and Motion JPEG to maximize image quality and bandwidth efficiency.

Simple Installation

The AXIS 216FD-V can easily be installed wherever required. Power over Ethernet technology on the IEEE 802.3af standard eliminates the need for a power outlet as power is supplied via the network connection. Panning, rotating and tilting the camera lens allows you to place the camera wherever needed while still ensuring you get maximum coverage of the surveillance area, whether placed on a wall, ceiling or sloping surface.

Advanced Event Management

Like the AXIS 216FD, the AXIS 216FD-V includes several advanced event management features. These included multi-window video motion detection and audio detection capabilities, as well as a tamper triggered sensor alarm. I/O ports also allow connection to separately installed devices for multiple purposes, such as automatic on/off light switches on alarm triggers, open/close door commands and much more.

The camera also includes support for two-way audio. The built-in microphone takes in sound, and can be connected to external speakers allowing you to communicate to people on the ground in the surveillance area.
