The AXIS 215 PTZ-E (0306-001) network camera is designed for use in demanding outdoor environments. Provided with day and night functionality and powerful zoom features, this camera is ready for the most challenging environments. The camera is a cost-effective, professional solution for monitoring areas such as parking lots, commercial properties and warehouses. This camera is rated to IP66 standards of weatherproofing, making it a genuinely tough device that can stand up to adverse conditions.

The AXIS 215 PTZ-E network camera has its own heater and fan included in the case. This allows the device to function correctly in temperatures ranging from -4 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. The camera is also equipped with night vision technology. During the day, a removable IR-cut filter ensures that images are clear and free of IR interference. At night, the IR-cut filter withdraws, allowing sharp monochrome images of the image being monitored. This device uses two codecs, MPEG-4 and Motion JPEG, to provide high-quality images without using up too much bandwidth.

The AXIS 215 PTZ-E network camera is also provided with advanced network security protocol support. The camera allows multiple levels of user access. Network traffic may be secured using HTTPs encryption and IEEE 802.1x authentication. The AXIS 215 PTZ-E network camera is provided with support for Quality of Service (QoS), as well, making it suitable for advanced networks.
