A rugged, durable camera with 1.3 Megapixel resolution: the AXIS 209MFD-R. Designed for use in rough and tumble environments, especially on mass transit vehicles such as buses, trains and planes, this camera can withstand severe vibrations, temperature fluctuations, humidity and dust.
Understanding the need for video surveillance in mass transit vehicles under demanding conditions, the AXIS 209MFD-R is specially designed to handle these demanding environments. Rugged connectors ensure connectivity even while withstanding high vibrations. Its tough casing protects against temperature fluctuations, dust and varying humidity levels. It includes a built-in heater which protects against cool temperatures as well as moisture and condensation. The camera can operate in temperature conditions from -20˚ to 50˚ C (-4˚ to 122˚ F).
The AXIS 209MFD-R features 1.3 megapixel resolution. This allows for a larger image area and higher detail so remote monitors of the video can better see all that is happening. It also includes Digital PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom). This gives control over imaging options, allowing you to zoom in on specific areas or tilt the image to better see certain spots on the image. Preset positions can be programmed and a constantly rotating guard tour can also be set up, giving you maximum visibility.
Not only is the AXIS 209MFD-R a durable camera, it can also withstand human tampering. The casing is rated IP66 against tampering. In addition it features a tamper trigger alarm sensor, immediately notifying you if someone should attempt to tamper with the camera. Other alarm triggers include video motion detection and intelligent video capabilities.
The small, compact AXIS 209MFD-R network camera is easy to install wherever you need it. Power over Ethernet allows power to be transferred via network cable, saving you the need of a power outlet for installation. The lens can be tilted and rotated, allowing for installation on varying surfaces; even sloping surfaces can be compensated for.
