8 Channel DVR

An 8 channel DVR device will allow for up to 8 analog video feeds to be connected for conversion from analog video to digital video data which can then be stored on a standard computer hard drive. This makes accessing video data much more efficient in comparison to analog video systems that require video data to be stored on VCR cassette tapes. 8 channel DVR devices may include standalone devices that feature built-in storage and software or may include PC DVR card devices that must be installed within a computer system. Depending on device functionality, it is possible for 8 channel DVR devices to allow for multi user access within a locally connected network or remote access through the Internet with additional network configuration.
