Smartvue Announces "Death of Ethernet IP Video" with Next Generation 802.11N Draft Wireless IP Video Surveillance and Video Analytics Solutions
At the 53rd annual ASIS security exhibition, Smartvue Corporation, an
award-winning leader in the IP video industry, today announced its next
generation 802.11N draft wireless H.264 IP video surveillance and video
analytics product lines.
"
Wired Ethernet IP video
will decline as 802.11N leads the network of the future," said Martin
Renkis, CEO of Smartvue Corporation. "In 2005 Smartvue introduced the
world''s first 802.11N based H.264 IP video cameras and wireless
network video recorders," said Renkis. "Our next generation products
will offer the easiest to use and most cost effective professional
grade IP video solutions in the industry, designed as alternatives to
wired Ethernet systems and incorporating 802.11N Certification to
seamlessly work with other 802.11N networking products."
The Burton Group recently released a report that predicts 802.11N
wireless technology will quickly erode the wired Ethernet market.
"802.11N marks the beginning of a rapid market shift away from LAN
access deployments using traditional wired Ethernet," said senior
analyst Paul DeBeasi. The report analyzes the differences between
802.11N and Ethernet (802.3) with regard to performance, security,
manageability, cost and impact on staff and offers among many, the
competitive advantages for 802.11N in ease of installation and
mobility.
