Intransa Demonstrates Security-Grade IP Storage Convergence with Multiple Applications At ISC East
Intransa, the global leader of scalable, network-centric IP storage
solutions, will demonstrate security-grade network storage convergence
and interoperability in the ISC East Convention and Exposition's
Security Operations Center (SOC), at the Javits Convention Center in
New York, September 11 - 12. Intransa's affordable storage is easy to
install and manage, deployable with virtually all physical security
hardware and software solutions, and will be demonstrated functioning
with numerous leading and up-and-coming vendors throughout the event.
Among the Intransa security solutions that will be demonstrated in
the ISC East SOC, Intransa IP storage will be integrated with
IP cameras from Axis Communications, a market-leading
IP surveillance
vendor, and Milestone Systems, the global market leader for open
platform
IP video management software, to provide an end-to-end
IP-based solution from the camera to an SQL database and scalable video
storage, all easy to install and manage.
"Intransa security-grade IP network storage has been
customer-proven around the world since 2003," said Bud Broomhead, CEO
of Intransa. "The physical security industry can now take advantage of
our scalable storage expertise, thanks to the growing convergence with
the best information technology."
In the case of video surveillance, IP cameras and video management
solutions can be quickly integrated with Intransa IP storage. "This
will increase the number of cameras that can be supported, while also
improving the possible retention period, resolution and frame rate, and
all with higher reliability than offered by DVR- or NVR-only
solutions," continued Broomhead. "Perhaps most important of all, by
deploying our security-grade IP storage with their preferred VMS
application, customers can significantly reduce their costs and
management headaches."
Intransa security-grade IP storage solutions can start with support
for a handful of cameras, then grow in an inexpensive, modular model to
support a few dozen, several hundred, a thousand or even tens of
thousands of surveillance devices. This is possible through the same
industry-leading 1 through 40GbE aggregate IP support that Intransa
solutions have offered to the IT industry, delivering the fastest
performance and highest capacity. For applications like video
surveillance, this translates into being able to affordably retain
video for much longer periods, and at higher resolution and frame rates
than ever before. All of these new benefits are critical as new
applications such as
video analytics
are deployed, and as legislation and standards evolve, increasing the
pressures on security professionals to move beyond legacy solutions.
Customers have deployed Intransa security-grade IP storage for the
video surveillance needs of the gaming industry, government, retail,
community protection, asset security and transportation. Many others
are now deploying surveillance systems for supply chain management and
quality control, typical of the new non-security deployments that
Intransa's IP storage solutions enable.
In addition to the many hardware and software solutions that
Intransa IP storage will integrate with in the ISC East SOC, the
company regularly tests and certifies video surveillance and other
security applications through its San Jose, California StorAlliance
Technology Partner labs.
Intransa's scalable IP network storage solutions will be on display
at several other public venues this week, including Computer World's
Infrastructure Management World conference in Scottsdale, Arizona from
September 10-12, and at VMworld with StorAlliance Technology Partner
Neterion in San Francisco, California from September 11-13.
Intransa security-grade IP network storage solutions are available
through StorPartner Channel Program member security integrators and
resellers around the world.
