Can Video analytics be used without a video server? If one has IP cameras installed and there is no real use for the video server where would one the video analytics?

You can use video analytics software but it is usually best to use a device with built-in video analytics. This is due to the fact the video analytics software takes up a lot of system resources and you can only get a few cameras running per PC using video analytics.
