Milestone Reports Record Growth for the 2010 Year

Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

With annual reviews completed, Milestone Systems reports record growth for the 2010 year and predicts that global expansion will continue.

Milestone Systems continues to be the world’s front running developer of open platform IP video management software. At the conclusion of the 2010 annual report, a 56 percent increase in revenue and earnings was reported over the 2009 fiscal year.

Chief executive officer, Lars Thinggaard anticipates that these numbers will continue to climb as they move into the second quarter of the year. “A strong focus on establishment of additional sales offices around the world, certification of partners and recruiting many new employees from the basis of the positive figures we can present today,” Mr. Thinggaard said of the nearly doubled increased revenues and profitability over recent years, going on to add “Milestone Systems is stronger than ever in terms of market share and financial position and we expect this to continue in the coming years.”

While the rest of the world felt the crunch of the financial crisis of 2008 and 2009, Milestone Systems realized the opportunity to invest in the establishment of new business markets – a decision that provided significant payouts in 2010. Thinggaard admits that he faced opposition and skepticism, but feels that the strategic decision to push forward in a financially challenging time left the company (Milestone Systems) “well positioned to build further on its leading market position.”
