Hoping to implement a robust system capable of meeting the high expectations they had set with their own products, Axiz promptly contacted The Surveillance Factory (Axis Solution Gold Partner, and Axis Top Sales Partner 2010). It was under their recommendation that the obsolete security system be replaced with an all new IP based system comprised of Axis IP camera products.

After accepting the proposal to redo the outdated system, several HDTV and PTZ network cameras were installed throughout the facility. The placement of each IP camera offered a comprehensive view of the most important areas around the location, such as: the external and internal perimeters, the customer service areas, and the entire warehouse vicinity. The modern and comprehensive security solution gave personnel, consumers, and suppliers the peace of mind they needed to be reassured that they were dealing with a renowned organization.

The institution contacted SDS Corp who determined that an Axis based solution would offer the most benefits. In all, 108 network cameras were installed throughout and around the campus. Including: four Axis 214 PTZ, twelve Axis 211, forty Axis 207, twenty-seven Axis P1343 and twenty-five Axis M3203 IP cameras.

The outcome has been favorable. With all security and administration staff responding positively to the new network based system. Unlike the old, outdated, analog security system the Axis camera solution offers scalability, easy monitoring and helps to reduce expenses continually.

After contacting Peruvian supplier of Axis network cameras, Prosegur Technologia, it was decided that the most beneficial security solution was one that included IP network cameras in the Axis 221, Axis 225FD and Axis 233D lineups. In total, 66 IP cameras were deployed and effectively augmented with the use of management software capable of permitting various integrated technologies to work interchangeably.

After a successful installation, Minera Vale now maintains complete control over each IP camera and has the ability to monitor and review footage from various locations across the mine and the plant. Not only has this Axis based solution been proven effective for ongoing security efforts, it has also been deemed beneficial in aiding support and emergency personnel in the event of accidents of issues.

While it had been seen as cost effective to continue to utilize some of the existing analog security cameras in order to effectively future proof the security system, it was necessary to augment the system with IP network equipment. Axis surveillance equipment was used to configure three Axis 291 IU server racks complete with Axis 243Q Blade servers, two Axis 215 PTZ cameras and one Axis 212 PTZ network camera.

After the induction of the newly augmented security system, the Barry Family Campus security administrators now feel confident in their ability to ensure the safety of the nearly 1,500 people who pass through the center on a daily basis.

At the end of 2007 the city of Serra determined that their 18 limited coverage cameras, many still utilizing analog technology, was insufficient in supporting their growing security needs. Two years later, with the assistance of municipal and Federal government funds, the city joined forces with Pronasci (the National Public Security and Citizenship Program) to mediate the best solution for their complex problem. The first, and most successful, component of the plan was to facilitate the use of 40 Axis Network Cameras, including 30 AXIS Q6032-E Pan/Tilt/Zoom Dome Network Cameras that would be placed strategically in urban streets, and an additional 10 AXIS M1054 High Definition Network Cameras to be used to monitor all access and Data Center locations.

Upon completion of the project, City Hall Secretary of Civil Defence, Joel Lyrio Junior stated, “We have achieved significant reductions I the levels of violent crime in monitored areas, border on 80% in comparison to previous years.” He went on to add that, “We (the city of Serra) have increased the quantity of cameras and changed technology, opting for a more advanced solution with better resolution quality.”

Wanting to work with an organization that maintains a reputation for service excellence, Internet Services decided on an advanced security solution comprised entirely of AXIS P3301 Fixed Dome Cameras. The dome IP cameras where set up strategically throughout the building at locations such as the entrance, elevator, and hallway.

After having deployed the AXIS IP-based solution, the company is now capable of monitoring daily security and effectively resolving disputes as they arise.

The city promptly contacted NETCOM SERVICE, a distributor of Axis cameras. They were pleased with the recommended solution. The fully functioning surveillance and monitoring system was based on the use of 150 Axis 233D Network Dome Cameras, and included 200 infrared illuminators and 150 outdoor speakers that all connected to a central dispatch setup at City Hall.

The implementation of such a complex surveillance camera system brought desirable results to the city almost immediately. The police reported a significant decrease in crime and the Slatina citizens once again felt secure in their homes.

The decision was made to contact TVMS, security technology specialist, who were then given the task of testing several thermal IP cameras and determining which camera was the most likely to satisfy the intense security requirements of the firm. After the initial testing phase was completed, a series of Axis Q1910 Thermal Network Cameras were installed. As part of the well respected Axis family of cameras, the Q1910 was both cost efficient and highly functional in the chemical manufacturing environment.

The engineers and security personnel in at Sasol are far better equipped to tend to their responsibilities than ever before. Furthermore, the facility is now fully capable of tending to fluctuations in temperature as early on as possible, in order to protect the integrity of their products.

In order to ensure the safety and security of faculty and students, the university enlisted the assistance of Modern Gate for New Systems, a Jordanian Axis Partner. After a thorough analysis, an AXIS IP camera based surveillance system was designed and implemented. The complex system contained an excess of 280 Axis P1344, Axis P1343 and Axis P3301 IP network surveillance cameras.

In just 3 months, crime had reduced by more than 30% and surrounding residential and business districts are considering following the Silverton model to create a safer environment for everyone.
