Product Discontinuation Notice – AXIS 292 Network Video Decoder

Axis Communications has recently announced that the AXIS 292 (0213-004) Network Video Decoder will be discontinued on February 26th, 2010. Axis Communications will be continuing support of the AXIS 292 until February 26th 2013. The AXIS 292 has been discontinued in favor of the soon to be released AXIS P7701 H.264 PoE Network Video Decoder.

The AXIS P7701 network video decoder supports MPEG4, MJPEG and H.264 video compression and also supports full D1 video resolution. The AXIS P7701 also includes support for PoE (Power over Ethernet), Two-Way audio and features both a digital and analog video output. The AXIS P7701 is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2010.

ACTI Product Discontinuation Notice

A series of ACTi network video surveillance products, including IP camera and video encoder devices, will no longer be available for purchase through Network Camera Store. ACTi posted a notice on the ACTi website back in September 2009 announcing a series of products that would be phased out and would not be available for purchase after December 31, 2009. Product Notice – Axis 207 Discontinued

The Axis 207 has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase. Axis has recommended two possible replacement network cameras that may be used as a replacement for the Axis 207. Axis’ replacement product recommendations include advanced features over the Axis 207 while still remaining cost effective. Please review the replacement options listed below for further details. Please note that the Axis 207W and Axis 207MW have not been discontinued and are still available for purchase. The Axis replacement products for the Axis 207 are:

Axis 206 Product Discontinuation Notice

Axis Communications has recently announced that the Axis 206 (Axis Part #: 0199-004) IP network camera will soon be discontinued with product orders no longer being accepted after September 30th 2009. The Axis 206 will only be available for purchase while stock still exists. Axis has announced that the Axis 206 will be supported until September 30, 2012. As a replacement, Axis has recommended the Axis M1011 (Axis Part#: 0302-004) IP network camera. The Axis M1011 is a full featured progressive scan H.264 IP camera.

D-Link DCS-950/DCS-950G Product Discontinuation Notice

D-Link has recently announced that both the DCS-950 and the DCS-950G have been discontinued. However, D-Link has developed two replacement products that function similar to the DCS-950 and DCS-950G. The two replacement products also add improved picture quality by utilizing MJPEG video compression.
